10 Hour Worker Site Safety Training  

8-Hour Fall Prevention Training
In order to be in compliance with NYC Department of Buildings Local Law 196, this course is one of the requirements for an individual applying for a Site Safety Training Card. In this course you will be educated on the following topics:

  • How to avoid accidents and injuries in the workplace (scaffold, edges, ladders)
  • Identify and avoid hazards on elevated work locations
  • Guardrail installations, safety nets, falling object protection (and more)

2-Hour Drug and Alcohol Awareness Training
In order to be in compliance with NYC Department of Buildings Local Law 196, this course is one of the requirements for an individual applying for a Site Safety Training Card. This course along with the 8 hour fall prevention completes the 10 hour site safety requirements. In this course you will be educated on the following topics:

  • Describe effects of Drug and Alcohol in the workplace
  • Recognize problems associated with substance dependency
  • Avoid working while under the influence of Drugs and Alcohol
  • Recognize and understand issues of chemical dependence and how it can affect the lives of others

32 Hour Supervisor Site Safety Training  

Local law 196 of 2017 introduced new training requirements for construction workers and supervisors. Supervisors must complete a total of 62 hours of training by December 1st, 2019 in order to qualify for a Supervisor Site Safety Training (SST) Card. The following courses will be offered in this bundle to fulfill the requirements:

  • 8 Hour Fall Prevention
  • 8 Hour Chapter 33
  • 4hr Supported Scaffold User
  • 2 Hour Drug and Alcohol Awareness
  • 2 Hour Site Safety Plan
  • 2 Hour Tool Box Talks
  • 2 Hour Pre-Task Meetings
  • 2 Hours of General Electives
  • 2 Hours of Specialized Electives

The 32 Hours SST Supervisor Package includes every course listed above besides the 30 hour OSHA Construction Training Course. These courses may also be applied to a worker SST card.
